Kickoff 2013 lists MC's Owen as USA South Breakout Player

D3football.com's Kickoff was released today with predictions and individual team reports on each of the 244 NCAA Division III institutions that will play collegiate football this fall.

Ferrum's signal caller Tim Reynolds is a pre-season favorite as the league's player of the year. Maryville's senior defensive lineman Jamie Owen was selected as the USA South's breakout player of the year. Kickoff is quoted as saying, "Owen broke out for three games' worth of time last season, recording 34 tackles before getting hurt. A full season should see him a lot higher on the tackle charts in 2013."

Kickoff lauded the Fighting Scots depth on the offensive line and has concerns filling the graduation void within the MC secondary.
