The Maryville College volleyball team finished the Rhodes Invitational this weekend in Memphis with a win over host Rhodes College. The victory avenged a loss to Lynx earlier in the season at Maryville. MC swept Rhodes 3-0 by the scores of 26-24, 25-17, and 25-16 to finish the tournament with a 2-1 weekend record.
Kara Strickland paced MC at the net with nine kills while recording eight digs. Kelsey Handel added eight kills while Kristen Sharp threw down seven kills. Teri Lind tossed in 26 assists while Mallory Bonee and Kristen Sharp combined for 30 digs to lead MC's defensive effort.
The Scots are 7-5 on the season and will next play at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta next weekend.
