MC Football Game Day Information
Location/Home Field
Maryville College’s Honaker Field and Lloyd L. Thornton Stadium are located at 502 East Lamar Alexander Parkway in Maryville, Tennessee.
Parking
Free parking is available in Maryville College's parking lot on the southwest section of campus and adjacent to the Cooper Athletic Center.
Overflow parking may also be available in the brown lot behind the Cooper Athletic Center
Tickets
General Admission to Lloyd L. Thornton Stadium is $10 for adults over 18. Tickets for seniors and students six and older get in for $8. Children ages five and younger are admitted for free. Tailgating
Maryville College Athletics Tailgating Policy
Tailgating allows an opportunity for fellowship and fun as part of field sport activities. Tailgating is defined as parking and consuming food and beverages outside the sports event area. This policy establishes guidelines that allow for the safe enjoyment of tailgating for Maryville College field sports and is consistent with USA South policies and expectations.
Individuals attending events at Maryville College are expected to conduct themselves in a manner respectful of the nature and character of the college. Persons acting in a disruptive, disrespectful, or disorderly manner may be asked to leave the premises or be subject to arrest. Students may also be charged with a violation of the Student Code of Conduct.
Those participating in tailgating are expected to adhere to the following:
Locations and Hours
1. Tailgating is permitted only in designated athletic field parking lots and areas.
2. Overflow parking is allowed in the Brown parking lot behind the Cooper Athletic Center. Tailgating is allowed at this venue.
3. Ticket booths and the stadium open one and a half hours before the start of games.
4.No portable restrooms will be available at the tailgating sites.
Behavioral Expectations
1. To ensure a fun and enjoyable tailgating experience, all participants must abide by the law.
2.No cups or containers other than clear, empty water bottles to be filled inside the complex are allowed in the stadium.
3. Pets are not permitted within the facility with the exception of service pets for handicap patrons only.
4. Open flames, including fire pits and charcoal grills, are not permitted. Propane grills are allowed.
5. All entrances and traffic lanes must remain clear at all times.
6.RV’s/oversize vehicles are allowed only in the Brown parking lot.
Alcohol
Alcohol will be permitted at tailgating, within the following parameters:
1. Serving alcohol to or consumption of alcohol by minors (those under 21 years of age) is a violation of state law (refer to state statutes for a complete explanation of Tennessee laws) and College policy. Anyone under the age of 21 found to be drinking will be required to leave the premises and may be charged with a Minor in Possession. Maryville College students under the age of 21 will be charged with a violation of the Student Code of Conduct.
2. Alcoholic beverages are limited to single-serving non-glass containers. No common sources are permitted, e.g. kegs, beer balls, or other large quantity containers.
3. Individuals consuming alcohol may be asked by security officers to provide legal identification and proof of age as part of monitoring the tailgating area.
4. Consumption of alcoholic beverages outside of tailgating areas is prohibited. Alcohol is not allowed inside the Lloyd L. Thornton Stadium.
Gameday Notes
Entrance/Gates
Entrance gates are available on the southwest (visitor) side of the stadium.
Gates are scheduled to open one hour prior to game time.
Seating
All seating is general admission, with bleachers available on both sides of the field.
Restrooms
Restrooms are available at the concession stand (besides the home bleachers).
Concessions
Concessions will be open one hour prior to game time. Concessions are located next to the home bleachers.
Outside Food/Beverages
No outside food or beverage is allowed in the stadium. Only clear, empty water bottles to be filled inside the complex are allowed in the stadium. No alcohol is permitted inside the stadium.
Pets
Service pets are the ONLY pets allowed inside the complex.

Good Sports Always Recycle!
All recycling at the gates and inside the stadium is Single Stream, meaning you can put ALL types of recyclable materials into the recycling bins inside Lloyd L. Thornton Stadium including:
- PAPER: Newspaper, programs, playbooks, popcorn boxes
- METAL CANS: Aluminum and steel
- PLASTICS: Bottles, cups, jugs, wrap
- GLASS: Bottles, jars
- CARDBOARD: Pizza boxes, cup holders

In the spirit of sportsmanship, fans shall:
- Conduct themselves in a manner that represents Maryville College, the USA South Athletic Conference and the NCAA with honor, dignity and respect.
- Demonstrate the qualities of civility and sportsmanship at all times.
- Not use vulgar, abusive, racist, sexist, demeaning, or intimidating language at any time.
- Support the players, coaches, and officials in a positive manner.
- Treat the visiting team, coaches and fans with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Not engage in cheers that are vulgar, crass or demeaning.
- Refrain from throwing objects onto the floor for any reason.
- Not become inebriated or belligerent.
- Refrain from entering playing and team areas at any time, including the game.
- Be a positive role model for those around you by treating others with courtesy and respect!
- Artificial noisemakers are not permitted at the venue
