He accumulated 1,562 career reception yards on 159 receptions, averaging 9.8 yards per catch while scoring 15 touchdowns.

Coach Martin was a key contributor to the success of the Tennessee Volunteers football program from 1997-2000. He helped Tennessee earn a pair of SEC championships, competed in three BCS Bowl games, and was a member of the 1998 National Championship Vols.

"Coach Martin's ability to relate to young men, his passion to affect lives in the community, and his knowledge of the tight end position excite our staff and myself about the experience we can give our student-athletes at Maryville College," stated Coach Hayes.

Coach Martin returned to Tennessee after his professional playing career to earn his Bachelor of Arts, Sociology degree in 2012.

Upon graduation he served as the wide receiver coach and passing game coordinator for Knoxville Central High School during the 2014-2015 academic year.
